strong schools, strong community

In 150 years, Aitkin has transformed from a logging settlement into a community known for its natural beauty, strong local businesses, and growing health care services. Throughout this history, Aitkin Public Schools have served as cornerstones of learning, opportunity, and community pride.

“As Aitkin evolves, our schools must adapt to continue serving the entire community. When our schools reflect the needs of today, we create a stronger foundation for families, the workforce, and the future of Aitkin.”

- Dan Stifter, Superintendent
